We are thrilled to be back in the workshop for a brand new episode of the Adonis Built Series. It is time to dive into another machine crafted by the team at Moto Adonis. This build proves that some legends only get bolder and more extreme with time.

This XV is more than just a collection of custom parts. It is a rolling reflection of custom bike culture and the lasting legacy of Moto Adonis.

Moto Adonis is all about crafting high quality custom bikes. Their total dedication to design and real craftsmanship is exactly how they bring these dream machines to life. This project, however, is not a customer build. This one is for themselves. It is something they rarely do, but a project that simply had to happen! Why?

Back in 2012, Moto Adonis was one of the very first builders to really rip into a Yamaha XV. After that, the model quickly became an absolute icon for the workshop. After building so many for others over the years, creating their own extreme version in 2026 was simply inevitable.

You know that unmistakable smell of ground metal and fresh paint when you step into a workshop? That is the exact atmosphere this custom Yamaha XV 750 brings. It is difficult to describe, but you instantly know this bike is something special. You can tell it was truly built by hand, not just wrenched together with a bunch of bolt-on parts.

The build
They kicked things off by giving the bike a solid, aggressive look with a USD front fork featuring custom made aluminum covers. The front end is all about clean functionality. They integrated a Motogadget Mini seamlessly into a custom triple clamp and went the minimalistic way with the controls and buttons. An M-unit acts as the brain, keeping the wiring out of sight and giving a modern touch to the bike.

When you grab the bars, the classic texture of the Vans grips (modified bicycle grips) gives you that pure, hands-on riding feel. The aggressive stance of the front fork gave the bike a completely new attitude, so the custom subframe had to be designed to complement that look. Instead of just welding a straight pipe with a standard loop, they built something special. While building the subframe, they integrated a custom-built taillight right into the design. To finish the tail section, they handed the assignment over to Miller Kustom Upholstery to craft a beautifully stitched seat that is genuinely made for real riding.

The fuel tank is the centerpiece, and its story is as authentic as the workshop itself. It was pulled from a pile of tanks that was just sitting in the office as decoration. They actually threw it on the frame as a temporary placeholder just so they could keep working on the build. But as soon as it sat there, they realized it was exactly what the bike needed. It just clicked. They modified it to match the clean look of the build, finishing it with a flush pop-up fuel cap. To ensure you’re sitting exactly right, they fabricated a set of custom rearsets.

Then there is that custom exhaust. Just look at it. It is a truly unique piece of design that delivers that signature V-twin growl. It isn’t overbearingly loud though, because there is an integrated muffler built directly into the pipework. The entire system is finished in Cerakote to match the rest of the bike’s details.

This dark green, classic but modern finish contrasts perfectly with the classic spoked wheels. To keep the styling subtle, they coated several parts, including the forks, in Cerakote, a premium finish they handle in-house.

Since they built this as a shop bike, they also incorporated the company name right onto the tank. That combination of brown, gold, and green is a truly unique choice. We at Rusty Stitches really like it, because it is just as original as the people behind the build.
